An award winning writer, director and producer especially responsible for Development and Training at Talkinglens Productions , based in Leeds England. In addition to a Degree in Business, Raza graduated with the Diploma in TV Production from London and several courses from the NFTS. After various roles in broadcast TV, Raza returned to his northern roots and at Hibiscus & Premiere Productions he wrote, produced and directed numerous programmes and films for TV. His films including Easy Money, Dogs Best Friend and Checkmate received international awards, including the Jury Grand Prize, Amiens, Bronze Dragon, Krakow and Prix De la Salamander, France. Raza, continued his prolific writing with the 6 episode drama, "Sparks" for Yorkshire TV and Knots In The Wood, animation by Cosgrove Hall. As well as being involved in theatre productions for West Yorkshire Playhouse. He wrote and directed over 30 films for ESP. as well as many innovative music videos including "Faster Faster Kill". and worked on numerous independent films: "Wishbone" featuring Rik Mayall, "Drumming Monkey" with Richard Wilson, script development work with Lenny Henry; and the period drama: Gift From The Sea. After directing several series of TV magazine programmes for Cable and SKY, Raza co-wrote & directed the much-acclaimed comedy film "Guns Thums & Movie Massala", directed the 12 part series "JJ On A Mission" for Sky Channel 803; the black comedies "Licked" and "Returns", the noir film "Holding on to Nothing". The award wining "Our Day", the 4 part series "Unphiltered" , the black comedy "Dumb Decisions". Writing directing and producing the feature films "Ask The Cheat" , "Awful Silence", "The Vist" Parts 1 & 2 as well as the shorts "Low Punches", "Not My Cup Of Tea" , the docu drama "Not My Cup Of Tea" and Cannes Unravelled. Raza has also been engaged as 1st Ad and Production Supervisor on: "Wilfred", in 2020 the BFI Film "True Colours", in 2021 the feature film "Amara" and "Letters For Lost Lovers" and as DOP on the short "My Home" Raza is actively involved in media education and has taught at many institutions including Leeds University and Bradford University, and overseas for The British Council.
