Tara Alexandra Brown was born in Reno, Nevada and is an American film, television, and theater actress. During a visit to Los Angeles when she was 14, Brown was discovered by renowned casting director, Fern Champion, after performing in a casting workshop meant for adults. Champion was so impressed that she helped Tara land her first agent while still living in Nevada. In high school she was an avid performer, appearing in lead roles such as Rizzo in "Grease" and The Nurse in "Romeo and Juliet. At just 15, Brown starred as Cecily in "The Importance of Being Earnest" at the acclaimed Good Luck Macbeth Theater. Brown was an AP Scholar in high school and received a scholarship to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in 2013, but chose to attend the University of Nevada, Reno where she was subsequently awarded the Grace-Semenza Drama Scholarship as a Freshman. In 2014, Brown was one of 11 students out of 4,000 to win an award from the Center for Public Anthropology for her essay on the ethics of scientific research. Despite her academic success, the urge to pursue a serious acting career led Brown to Los Angeles at 19. Shortly after, Brown was diagnosed with a rare form of Type 1 Diabetes known as "LADA", but has not deviated from her career path. Rather, she intends to be a voice for performers with disabilities and share her experience with others. Brown is known for portraying Danielle Skylar in the Emmy Award Winning series, "Bosch" on Amazon and as Paige on the Lesflicks drama series, "Every Day." Brown will be making her directorial debut this year with the feature film version of the series in addition to co-writing and producing the short film, "And Yet So Far." She has received critical acclaim for her many performances on stage, having trained in voice, dance, and improvisation. Most recently she starred as Constance at the renowned Santa Monica Playhouse Theatre in the acclaimed musical, "Love in Bloom."
