Inka was conceived in the Congo, born in Bosnia, grew up in Algeria and with the outbreak of war, settled with her family in Canada. Thanks to her rich and nomadic upbringing, she is a polyglot who developed a fascination for human behaviour and a passion for acting at a young age, winning "the outstanding actress award" and voted "most likely to win an Oscar," at her high school's intensive theatre program in North-Vancouver BC. She went on to study at UBC, University of British Columbia, majoring in history and theatre, and soon thereafter embarked in numerous theatrical projects, such as co-creating physical theatre sensation "Diplomadots" for the Brave New Playwrights Festival in Vancouver and portraying Anna in Patrick Marber award-winning "Closer" at Espace 4001, Montréal. She continued her training at the reputable Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City, diving into the depths of method acting, where she performed in Robert Ellerman's intensive program and portrayed Lorna in Clifford Odets's Golden Boy at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre opposite Anatol Yusef. During her time at Strasberg, she also discovered her love for the camera through the close mentorship of Paul Calderon. Her focus has since shifted to the screen. She's had the privilege to work with Oscar-winning Robert Zemeckiss' The Walk (2015) opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt and caught the eye of multi award-winning Denis Côté who cast her in two of his features, Vic + Flo ont vu un ours (2013) and Boris sans Béatrice (2016). In 2015, she landed her first Bosnian role, playing Svetlena in award-winning director Igor Drljaca's The Waiting Room (2015) which screened at numerous film festivals including TIFF. In 2016, she was offered the lead in Charles Massicottes' nominated short Le propriétaire est un télescope (2016) which has toured festivals worldwide and currently playing on MATV. Her performance has been highly revered and compared to Amélie Poulin in Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (2001). She has appeared in numerous popular American and Canadian TV series, including Quebec cult adored Tout sur moi (2006) and more recently in Street Legal (2019) CBC, No Tomorrow (2016) CW Network, Imposters (2017) NBC and Les Simone (2016) CBC. In addition, we catch her voice playing many characters in Eido's popular video game Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (2016). Coming out in 2020, she will appear on several TV series, including Yan Lanouette Turgeon's new series Épidémie (2020) and on the 4th season of popular American series The Bold Type (2017) and popular Quebecer series Trop (2017) . She also landed a role on Michael Mohan's new feature film, The Voyeurs (2021). In April 2018, she returned to the stage, playing Sabine and Isabelle at the TFT, Théâtre Français de Toronto, directed by Joël Beddows for it's production of Pierre Corneille's classic "Le Menteur." Alongside her acting career, Inka is a professional dancer, specializing in Cuban Rhythms. She has performed in numerous cities all over Canada, either solo or for companies like Estilo Cubano, Drum Café, and Vision Diversité. A real chameleon and character actress, Inka is paving a prolific international career, splitting her time between Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, LA and Europe.
